Yeni sezonda geride bıraktığımız 4. haftanın ardından NFL Offensive / Defensive / Special Teams Player of the Week açıklandı. Sezonun 4. haftasında NFL Offensive Player of the Week oyuncuları AFC‘den Cincinnati Bengals’in Quarterback oyuncusu Joe Mixon olurken, NFC‘de ise Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ın yeni Quarterback’i Tom Brady oldu.

2017 NFL Draft’ın 2. round ve 48. sırasından Cincinnati Bengals tarafından seçilmiş olan Running Back oyuncusu Joe Mixon, 2 Haziran 2017 tarihinde Cincinnati Bengals ile;  4 yıl süreli, 5,45 milyon dolar değerinde olan, 2,81 milyon dolar garantili olan ve +2,10 milyon dolar imzalama bonusu içeren bir çaylak anlaşması imzalayarak profesyonel futbol kariyerine başlangıç yaptı.
